The Name Game
In order to avoid naming our baby the names we are currently using, I'm trying out different names and throwing out a new one to DH each day or two. After telling Mr. Rambler that I worry "the call" will come and we'll suddenly have a nameless baby, he seems to listen a bit more. Sometimes a thoughtful glance or a wince give me a quick indication on DH's opinions . . . and sometimes not.
I think we are finally whittling down the list to become the short list - at least for first names. Hmph. Seriously, how DO we decide together???? This is important stuff here!
Guess if we cannot decide we'll be forced to go with Peristalsis Cleopatra Phoenix or Nebuchadnezzar Robitussin Synthroid. Oh, how I hope we can come up with something else.

When?
Waiting for Excitement? So am I. No news around here. Just waiting & waiting & waiting.
Guess I'm in a kind of funk - wanting to start on the baby's room, wanting to clean out things, wanting to organize - but I can't get into it. I feel like us becoming a family is so close, yet SO VERY FAR away. I go into the "nursery" and look at the cute things we already have. Clothes, stuffed animals, books, and more simply stare back at me. Suppose they are wondering when the time will come, too. Even the dogs go lie down in the middle of the room waiting for something exciting to happen in there.
I'm ready. We are ready. When will the world be ready?

Differing Opinions
Well, it's 2am and I've been work on some nursery designs on the computer for about three hours now. I finally got it set where I had a good girl design and a good boy design.
Mr. Rambler hates both. So . . . our imaginary baby still has no nursery (AT ALL) much less decor ideas that its parents both like. This could be fun, but I'm too tired to fight it right now. I plan to prevail, though. :)

Save the Adoption Credit
Did you know that adoption can cost a family tens of thousands of dollars ---- as much as $40,000 or even more? Costs can be overwhelming for these families no matter what route they choose to expand their family - fostering, foster-to-adopt, private adoption, or agency-assisted adoption. Add to that many couples have spent a lot of money enduring IF procedures, and they start off in debt or struggling financially.
The ADOPTION TAX CREDIT is at risk becoming a thing of the past. It's a credit, not a refund, but every bit can help these people who desperately want a family. You can help by letting other people know about the credit and letting the people who represent you in our government know that you are in support of the Adoption Tax Credit needs to remain intact! For more information, go to http://adoptiontaxcredit.org/.

Pre-Adoption Crazies
While at the market yesterday, I saw a man with a baby carrier in his shopping cart. Inside the carrier was a teeny-tiny little baby. I seriously considered going up to him and asking if he really wanted the baby . . .
She's slowly losing it, folks. I know our wait thus far has been short compared to others, but I truly feel like I've been waiting 5 years and 3 months instead 5 months and 3 weeks.
And to clarify ---- I did not approach the man. Thankfully.

Yes I Did

I couldn't help myself. I had to park there. I might not be sporting a baby belly, but I *AM* expecting a baby. Even though I don't know when.
Don't worry or report me to the crazy pg people association. No KU women were hurt or forced to park elsewhere in this incident. In fact, I never even got out of the car. I simply waited on my mom while she ran into the store. :/
Kinda made me feel good though, and I secretly hoped someone would come ask me to move.

My Current Opinion of Mother's Day

| Our New Addition, the Master Bath toilet. |
Hopefully I will be a mom next year, so I can tell our child, "The Mother's Day before you were born, Daddy and I replaced our toilet. It's much better being your parents."

Is This My Prep Work?
My sleeping lately has . . . sucked. Is this my body's way of preparing me for the future? I'd deal with the lack of sleep from having a tiny baby to care for, not because I simply can't sleep. The dogs won't even get up with me!
