Facebook & IF

I love Facebook. I admit it. I've always had lots of friends & keeping in touch has been difficult. With FB, it's so easy! It's given me the opportunity to reconnect with so many people.

While I love FB, it also can suck if you are dealing with IF. SO MANY status updates are pg-related.
"I feel awful today."
"I saw my baby move!"
"It's a boy/girl!!!"
"I have cankles/hemmorhoids/round ligament pain/morning sickness/a big belly/sore boobs/whatever."
"I wish my baby would sleep!"
"He/she is here!"
"____ hurts today."
"BFing is so hard!"
"My DH is such an amazing Daddy!"
"Going to Grandma's house today!"
"I am so tired."

You know what? Just STFU. All of you. Sorry to hear it's such a bitch to be pregnant. I'll trade with you - ANY DAY. Glad your kid is cute. Mine will be cuter. Sorry you can't sleep because your ____ hurts. Trade ya! Have fun at Grandma's hosue! All my parents get are other grandchildren.

Vent over. For a minute at least. Cycle 26. O is over with little to no hope, I'm sure. Man, this is fun.

I still think the same thing when I see those posts, even though we're matched. :( I just don't understand how someone can incessantly complain about something some of us want so badly. (((HUGS)))

(You can always tell me to stick a sock in it if my updates get annoying! <3)

All I have to say is WORD. I'm actually pregnant again, but I don't plan on ever saying anything about it on facebook, I vow never to put an u/s or baby photo or a belly pic as my profile photo, and I refuse to be one of those annoying moms who posts about poop or feedings or naptime. I never want to make someone feel as empty and horrible as I felt through my months of miscarriage, waiting, surgeries, and seemingly endless TTC. I think it will always bother me, no matter how many kids I end up having.

Btw, have you seen the blog called "STFU, Parents"? stfuparents.tumblr.com -- check it out. It's good for when you're feeling a bit evil. :)

Thank you for posting this! I feel the exact same way. I can't tell you how many times I've typed "at least you're pregnant/have kids. maybe you should be grateful" and then backspaced it out without posting it.

Ugh.

Um, ouch.

I really hope and pray one day you (and Susan K) are one of "those annoying moms" who are updating FB with your u/s pics and excitement that your baby is now STTN.

I totally get how you feel. I had to wait until cycle 27 to get EJ, but you know moms read your blog too and I'm sure you don't edit what you say b/c you don't want to hurt feelings (ie this post).

Just because I complained about the horrendous m/s I had did not make me ungrateful to be PG. And nor will complaining make you ungrateful. It will make you human. Going through 3 miscarriages did not make the m/s any more fun. And it did not make me any less exhausted when EJ was up hours on end in the middle of the night every night for a month.

I know IF/PG Loss can make us all bitter, but please don't let it keep you from enjoying and sharing the excitement of your little ones that come along.

I know I post about EJ a ton on FB so I won't be offended if you want to "unfriend" me.

maybe they're really going to their OWN gramma's house? Sometimes I do.

:(

sorry sweets. I try to keep that in mind when I post but I forget. I suck sometimes. But don't think I don't know what a blessing (or two) we've been given. I only wish you too could share in the joy. Soon, soon.

I told Jay that if we don't use our frozen embryo, I'd want you to have it. But I don't know how you'd feel about that.

I get this. For different reasons, but I get it. And there will be those that don't understand and cant put themselves in your shoes. It shouldn't stop you from expressing yourself though. After all, this is YOUR place!!
